Universal Metal Products (UMP) is a stable, growing manufacturer with 75+ years of success and a long‑tenured workforce. Our Pharr, TX division is expanding, and we’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor who can lead a small team, drive equipment reliability, and support production through proactive maintenance and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality work.
- Oversee daily maintenance operations, preventive maintenance schedules, and equipment uptime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Partner closely with production leadership to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate external contractors and vendors when needed.
- Support mechanical engineering projects and equipment upgrades.
- Participate in customer quality visits and represent the maintenance function professionally.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safety-focused maintenance environment.
- Track work orders, parts usage, and maintenance documentation.
What You Bring
- Experience supervising maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to diagnose and repair production equipment.
- Previous maintenance experience in a metal stamping environment
- Solid understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team.
- Strong communication skills — with operators, leadership, and customers.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, multi-shift production environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
